Ubud, in the heart of Bali

Ubud is undoubtedly one of the most popular villages in Bali.

It is especially known for its culture and beautiful natural scenery. So if you are thinking of travelling to Bali, visiting Ubud and staying at Hatiku Di Bali is definitely an extraordinary choice.

Here are some of the things you can do in Ubud:

Temples: Ubud is home to many temples, some of them are even among the most beautiful in Bali, such as Goa Gajah, Gunung Kawi or Tirta Empul, which is one of our favourites, and described in more detail in another post. These temples are important places of worship for the Balinese and also true works of art.

Art markets: Ubud is known for its art and craft markets, where you can find a wide variety of local products, including clothing, jewellery, sculptures and paintings. The Ubud and the Sukawati markets are two of the most visited ones.

Balinese cuisine: If you love food, a Balinese cooking class is a unique experience that will give you the opportunity to learn about the local culture and cuisine. Visit local restaurants to enjoy Balinese food, or simply take a class in the village itself.

Rice fields: Ubud’s rice fields offer breath-taking views and can be explored by bike or on foot. Besides enjoying the beautiful natural scenery, you can also learn about the process of rice cultivation and the important role it plays in Balinese culture. Just a short distance from Hatiku Di Bali are the Tegallalang rice paddies, a must-see on your trip to Bali.

Yoga: Ubud is also known for its yoga culture, offering many options for yoga enthusiasts, such as studios, retreats and outdoor classes.
